Students tour BU at Pre-Orientation

This article is over 4 years old.

Brandon University welcomes more than 150 new students and their family members to Pre-Orientation on June 5 and 6. The two-day event is a great way for students and their family members learn about BU and how to most successfully manage the transition to their first year of university.

Either day features the same programming, which is designed to help incoming students find their way around campus, learn about student supports and other campus services, and discover a bit more about like at BU before starting their university career in the fall.

2019 Pre-Orientation Schedule of Events

Pre-Orientation features an information fair, campus tours, workshops, and open drop-in areas at the Indigenous Peoples’ Centre, the IT Helpdesk, and the John E. Robbins Library.

Many students come with a parent or family member, and there are workshops designed for them as well, sharing strategies on how to best support their child or loved one through their first year of university.

Students accompanied by a parent also had the opportunity to spend a night in residence.
