The Department of Visual and Aboriginal Art is proud to announce that current Bachelor of Fine Arts Honours student Jimmie Kilpatrick is the recipient of a Manitoba Arts Council Student Bursary award for the 2017-18 school year.

This $2,000 award celebrates and supports the completion of his graduating thesis year, which includes a solo exhibition at the Glen P. Sutherland Gallery.

Jimmie’s Thesis Exhibition, scheduled to open March 8, 2018, is multi-disciplinary in nature and focused on the interplay between music, both popular and contemporary, and visual art. His range of media is diverse, including ceramics, painting, mixed media sculpture, performance and sound art.

Congratulations, Jimmie!
