Brandon University (BU) students are the latest artists to showcase their work at the Tommy McLeod Curve Gallery.
Works by the Brandon University Fine Arts Student Association (BUFASA) are being displayed until August 1 at the Curve Gallery, located on the second floor of BU’s John E. Robbins Library.
BU Department of Visual and Aboriginal Art students Amber McKenzie Cochrane, Stephanie Fernandez, Jimmie Kilpatrick and Lori Gorlomi have produced works that include a play on gender and celebrity culture with thought-provoking and satirical commentary in portraiture.
The show has been curated by BUFASA Chair Jessie Fosty Demas with mentorship from Professor Cathy Mattes.
The Curve Gallery and John E. Robbins Library will be open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., Mondays to Thursdays; 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., on Fridays; and 1 to 5 p.m. on weekends until July 22. Beginning on July 23, they will be open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., on weekdays and 1 to 5 p.m. on weekends. The gallery and library are closed for all statutory holidays.
