Artisans Growing Local Experiences

This article is over 9 years old.

Rural Ireland is not alone in sharing local artisans with the world. Economusee is a growing network of agencies supporting unique local experiences in rural areas. Funded under the Northern Periphery Programme (EU based), potters, sculptures, fine wood workers, goat cheese makers, and salmon smoke houses are all involved in the Ireland Network and are joined by 90 others artisans in Canada and across Europe. You can meet local artisans, see them work at their craft, and discover the beauty and authenticity of products. Meetings among members are opportunities to improve business skills and knowledge, cross sell products, enhance web transactions, and some jokingly call this “knot working”.
