BRANDON, MB — Members of the Manitoba Prior Learning Assessment Network along with educators and other stakeholders will be gathering at Brandon University for a one-day conference and the group’s annual general meeting. On May 12, beginning at 9:30 a.m., sessions will take place in Room 212, in Clark Hall, on the Brandon University campus.
Topics to be discussed include Financial Services Bridging for Immigrants with P. Roger Loewen from Assiniboine Community College, and the Correction/Juvenile Counselling Apprenticeship Program with Dr. Gary McNeely of Brandon University. The keynote speaker prior to lunch will be Lori Fontaine of the Office of the Manitoba Fairness Commissioner. Along with sessions in the afternoon, Dr. Bill Ashton of Brandon University/The Rural Development Institute will give a presentation about the Institute’s Building Welcoming Communities project.
