Brandon, MB — April 19 and 20 will be busy for young Manitoban entrepreneurs and others with an interest in business. The second Entrepreneur Boot Camp will be held at the Keystone Centre, in Brandon, and Associate Professor Michael Malazdrewicz will be a Host Presenter at the event.
“Every entrepreneur has to gather the resources they need to successfully launch their business. Programs such as Dragon’s Den have shown entrepreneurs doing pitches to raise capital. The Boot Camp will give the entrepreneurs in attendance the coaching and practice needed to develop a successful pitch for capital, partners or customers,” said Mr. Malazdrewicz.
This Entrepreneur Boot Camp, organized by the province of Manitoba, has been designed for individuals seeking advice about employment and entrepreneurial endeavours as well as about training, employment and educational opportunities. There is also information for employers and for students regarding scholarships, loans and career planning. Some of the goals of this two-day event include practicing to pitch a business, discovering financing possibilities, and networking.
The event leads into the Capturing Opportunities Forum which will focus on the bio-based economy, featuring a variety of speakers and workshops on agriculture, energy, bio-products, food and health.
