Brandon University Female Students Recognized for International Women’s Week

BRANDON, MB — To mark International Women’s Week on campus, 22 Brandon University female students have been identified by their professors as exceptional in their area of study.

While these young women’s focus runs the gamut from fine arts to sciences, they have not only garnered scholarships and kudos for their academic endeavours, but have also made contributions within the community-at-large. Some are busy volunteers, others share the beauty of music, art or literature with others, while others are mentors, coaches or teachers.

The following young women, who make the pursuit of excellence one of their goals, have been profiled:

To celebrate International Women’s Day, on Tuesday, March 8, from 12:40 to 1:30 p.m., there will be a reception in honour of these exceptional, senior female students in the Knowles-Douglas Mingling Area. Refreshments will be provided.

International Women’s Day is a global celebration designed to inspire women and recognize their contributions and efforts.
