Dr. Dean Care, Dean of the School of Health Studies announces the results of the latest writing of the Canadian Registered Nursing Examinations by our Bachelor of Nursing (BN) graduates. “I am proud and pleased to report that 98% of our BN graduates of 2010 were successful on the June writing of the national nursing examinations. This is an outstanding achievement that is well above the provincial average pass rate of 91%.” When asked for a reaction to the announcement, Cathy Foster and Dr. Kathryn Hyndman, Co-Chairs of the Nursing Department stated ‘We are pleased with the high success rate of our students, and recognize our faculty’s hard work and expertise in preparing our graduates well for their entry into the profession.’ Once the exams are successfully completed, graduates of the program are eligible to hold the professional designation of a Registered Nurse (RN).
