BRANDON, MB – Students from BU School of Music Opera Ensemble are set to perform the comic opera, “Albert Herring” by Benjamin Britten.
The opera takes place in the late 1950’s of an English village. When no virtuous girls can be found to be the queen of the May Festival, the town decides upon a rum sort of notion: a King of the May.
Show times are Wednesday, March 10 and Friday, March 12 at 8 p.m., and Sunday, March 14 at 2 p.m.
Tickets are $8 for students/seniors and $12 for adults. They can be purchased by calling 727-7438 or at the door.
